A treasure! Get the small plate of cheese and meat! Get some wine! Eat at the bar if you can!
This place is not to be missed. It is reasonably priced, has excellent wine to go with whatever your food is, and a really friendly crowd. Go! -

The charcuterie plate here is amazing and I barely remember the reds we drank. They have this salami that has walnuts in it and (I don't even like walnuts) and I thought it was amazing. I attempted to search for this salami for my remaining 3 days here and was unsuccessful.
Friendly service, very quaint - empty when we got here at 4:00 in the afternoon other than the 85 year old lady who sat near us and drank her glass of wine. -

I came here on a Friday evening with a group of about 7 or 8 friends. When we arrived outside and I looked through the window and it was c-r-o-w-d-e-d. It was the birthday girl's choice and I couldn't suggest going to a less populated bar, so I just bit my tongue and lowered my expectations accordingly.
I expected slow service, rude bar go-ers and stiff bartenders. Luckily I was 100% wrong. We squeezed ourselves into the nook by the front window and ordered a couple bottles of wine. We were served right away and the bartenders were so friendly! I was with a group of people from all over the world and they heard us speaking English and asked where we were all from (not in an ambiguous potential flirtation way or anything -- they asked the girls and guys in my group alike). We all made a game of it and gave hints while they guessed (ugh, yes, by that point I'd had a couple glasses of wine so I used "the Governator"...). Anyway, it was nice to see bartenders in good spirits (pun) despite being incredibly busy.
Also this bar is down a dark and quiet alleyway, so it makes me feel BAMF-esque when I introduce it to friends. -

La Trinquette is a cute wine bar hidden on a small street in Paris. It's dark and candlelit inside, making it perfect for pre/post dinner drinks with a small group of friends. We came here at 1am and they wouldn't serve us a bottle because it was too late? So we ordered 4 glasses instead. Would've been bumped up to 4 stars if we could've gotten our hands on a bottle of vin!

Arrived here around 8pm before our reservations next door at Le 404. This bar doesn't remind me of the Paris bistro's but it's more like a bar that you'd find in the States...fairly dark and no outside seating.
We were able to get a seat at the bar...as mentioned in another review this place (I believe) serves some wines from it's own (or connected vineyards) so don't go expecting a certain Bordeaux. That said, whatever I drank was a nice read. Also the prices were very reasonable as my girlfriend and I had 4 glasses total for 23 euros.
One of the bartenders spent the entire time making a meat/cheese/olive/bread plate that looked absolutely fantastic. We didn't try it due to our reservations next door but would have loved to otherwise. It seemed like everybody else was eating it.
The crowd seemed a bit on the youngish side (20s-30s) but everybody was having a good time and the place was busy without being 'packed'. It was the perfect spot to go before our dinner.
